Install (free beta)

  1. Download Unstuck AI and open the downloaded file. It unzips to Unstuck AI.
  2. Drag Unstuck AI into your Applications folder, then open it. It's signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens normally.
  3. Follow the short setup: allow answers to be created, allow Screen & System Audio Recording (macOS asks you to quit and reopen once), then enter your beta access code.

Requires macOS 26 or later.

Getting started

  1. Open Unstuck AI from the menu bar (the handwritten "U"). Its dot turns red while it's listening.
  2. Start your meeting, call or lecture, choose its app in the panel (or "All system audio") and press the waveform button.
  3. Questions get answered automatically. You can also type a question, or press ⌥⌘S to answer what's on screen.

Get an access code

The beta is invite-only while we test. Ask the person who shared Unstuck AI with you for a code.

Common questions

I'm not getting answers. Check Settings → General → Privacy → "Send questions to the AI provider" is on, and that your access code is active (Settings → Access).

Nothing is being transcribed. Check System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen & System Audio Recording has Unstuck AI switched on, then reopen the app. Make sure the right app is selected in the panel.

Updates. Unstuck AI checks for new versions once a day and shows a "Download" button in the panel when one is ready.

What are credits? Your plan includes a monthly allowance. A text answer uses 1 credit, a photo 3, Reasoning 4–6. If you run out, text answers keep working on a lighter model until the 1st of the month.

Using it on another Mac. Install it there and enter the same access code (Settings → Access). Each code works on a limited number of Macs.
